From one infantryman to the other, it is an honor to receive a scholarship award from such a decorated warrior who committed his life to public service both in the military and academia. I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to join the ranks of veteran’s lives you touched through your continued service and will use this scholarship to assist in paying for the last semester of my Master’s degree. My current work as a Defense contractor keeps me separated from my family for extended periods. This award will assist me in completing my “final mile” by expediting my degree and allowing me to seek a change in career (Cybersecurity) that will afford me for quality time with my family.
